Reasons to use ScreedJoint

The ScreedJoint® Comes in Grey, Tan, or White (soon), and can be used in any type of flatwork- including Trowel finish, exposed aggregate, texturing, stamping, broom finish, and more.

The ScreedJoint® is installed during concrete forming to achieve the following:

Eliminates Need for Saw Cuts… saves on next day travel, payroll, comp insurance liability, dust, mess, CO emissions, noise pollution, and the cost of diamond blades

Flatter Slabs… Accurately sets the finish slab height, eliminates birdbaths, saves on crowning, saves on concrete, & allows for more accurate concrete ordering

You Can Screed off the Surface… The joint is rigid, allowing placer to quickly and easily strike off and screed the surface

It is Decorative… the joints come in popular colors that are used in decorative concrete work such as stamping, staining, exposed aggregate, texture rolling, hand or broom finishing

It Allows Less Water Penetration… under the slabs than an open saw cut will

User Friendly…it comes in easy to cut 12 ft lengths, or it can be daisy chained to make unlimited lengths. The joint is installed using a straight board, or a stringline, and ½” rebar cut to 12” –18” lengths, spacing is 36”.

Cost Effective… it will save the contractor money, each length sells for around $21 per 12ft length, where saw cutting costs 30% more

Versatile and Stress Free… It can be slightly buried, allowing power troweling, it can be used in many different types of flatwork. Since the ScreedJoint® is installed during concrete forming, there is no danger of concrete hardening too fast, which can happens with post pouring type of plastic joint installation

Time Saving… no need to walk back into the wet concrete to place any joint materials or remove apparatus

Quality… allows contractor to pour a much stiffer, stronger mix without the cost of admixtures and without the worry of premature setting

Never Caulk Again… the rigid exterior grade PVC stays in place for many years longer than traditional joint sealant, saving you money
